Hartford, OH June 14, 2008 Severe thunderstorms Friday night and a persistent drizzle throughout Saturday morning and afternoon forced Sharon Speedway officials to cancel the racing activities for Saturday, June 14th. "As the price of fuel continues to increase we want to do our best insure that the race teams and fans do not travel needlessly," stated Race Director Karl Best. "With a steady rain still falling at 2:00PM and threatening weather in the area, we felt it was best to cancel this evening's racing action."

The Ollie's Bargain Outlet 360 Challenge is up next on the Sharon Speedway schedule this Tuesday, June 17th. The $6,000.00 to win event will feature some of the nation's best 360 Sprint car drivers in action along with NASCAR Stars Dave Blaney, Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart. Race fans will also be invited to join Blaney, Kahne and Stewart in a "Memory Walk" around the Hartford, OH oval with all of the proceeds from the walk benefiting the Greater East Ohio Area Alzheimer's Association
