Steve Barnett Wins Third Crate Race in a Row at Brownstown!

(FRANKLIN, INDIANA)  Steve Barnett is red-hot in the GMR Crate Late Model division at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana, as the driver known as the "Franklin Flyer" captured his third straight Crate win at the historic 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval last Saturday night, May 31!  Steve won his heat race prior to conquering the A-Main in convincing fashion over Steven Godsey, Shannon Reed, Justin Shaw, and Bryan Bernhardt.  The Franklin, Indiana native has now reached victory lane at Brownstown on May 3, May 17, and May 31.  You can view complete results online at www.brownstownspeedway.com!

“Our Crate Late Model program is really good right now,” stated Barnett earlier in the week via telephone.  “We have a great combination and everything is really rolling.  I am looking forward to heading to Eldora this weekend and hopefully we can time in strong during qualifying on Friday night.  If not, we will probably head back to Brownstown on Saturday and try for our fourth Crate victory in a row!”

The Steve Barnett Racing team has now turned their focus to the annual ‘Dream 100’ weekend at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.  The 14th Annual ‘Dream 100’ will kick off on Friday night, June 6 with a hot lap session and two rounds of qualifying.  Saturday’s dirt-slinging action will then be highlighted by heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap main event.  The winner of the ‘Dream 100’ on Saturday evening will receive a whopping $100,000.  If things don't go Steve’s way at Eldora on Friday, he will most likely return to Brownstown on Saturday for another GMR Crate Late Model race.  You can learn more about the festivities at the “Big E” online at www.eldoraspeedway.com!
