Josh McGuire Drives Stephens Motorsports Car to Victory
Lane at Moler!
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire, who was behind the wheel of
the Stephens Motorsports #34 C.J. Rayburn racecar for the second
time last Friday night, June 20, visited victory lane at the
Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio! Josh set fast time in
qualifying and later won his heat race. After starting on the
front row for the $2,000 to win main event, the Grayson,
Kentucky driver wheeled his #34 entry to the win over Barry
Doss, Bill Williams, Josh Williams, and John Whitney.
On Saturday evening, the action turned to the Portsmouth Raceway
Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, as another $2,000 top prize was up for
grabs. Josh qualified well and later ran third in the dash to
earn the inside second row starting spot for the A-Main. He
then ran amongst the leaders throughout the feature event at PRP
and crossed underneath of the checkered flag in the fourth
position behind winner R.J. Conley, Eric Wells, and Jackie
Boggs. You can view complete results from both races online at
www.molerracewaypark.com and www.portsraceway.com!
"I could not have asked for anything better on Friday night at
Moler," announced McGuire earlier today. "The car was awesome
all night and the track was in great shape. It felt good to get
that first win with the Stephens Motorsports team under my belt
and hopefully there are many more to come this season. Then at
Portsmouth, we were probably going to run second to R.J.
(Conley), but we tangled with a lapped car late in the race and
suffered some pretty heavy damage. Overall, it was a successful
weekend and we will now turn our focus on running strong at
Lernerville!"
Josh and the #34 team will trek to the Lernerville Speedway in
Sarver, Pennsylvania this upcoming weekend for the 2nd Annual
'Firecracker 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will
sanction the blockbuster event on Friday and Saturday, June
27-28. A 100-lap, $40,000 to win main event will headline the
two-day show on Saturday evening. Josh could not find his way
into last year's 'Firecracker 100,' but he did win the $3,000
'Uncle Sam 30,' which was held for non-qualifiers. You can
