Earl Pearson Jr. Finishes 6th at Eldora,
Heads to Three Lucas Oil Sanctioned Events This Weekend
ARCHDALE, NC (June 10, 2008)- Earl Pearson Jr. and the
Bobby Labonte Racing Team competed at Eldora Speedway in
Rossburg Ohio this past weekend in the Dream 100. Earl
would qualify 21st out of the 123 drivers entered. Earl
would win his heat race event earning the 4th starting
position for the $100,000 to win feature event. Earl
would run in the top five throughout most of the race
but after and early race caution felt his tires sealed
over. Earl would finish 6th in the final run down after
completing all 100 laps.
"We had a really good car at Eldora. I have to thank my
crew Randall, Keith and Matt for giving me a great car.
We were good at the start and early stages of the race
and was trying to pass McCreadie for second when the
caution came out. After that early caution it felt like
my tires sealed over because the car wasn't as good
after that. We still managed a top ten finish which was
good but we felt like we had a car to win", stated Earl.
