It had been several years since

the Hartford, OH oval one final time.
In "Ultimate Cinderella" Fashion

Thank You Doug Elkins!!

Many times we only hear
"Negative Comments and Criticisms"
about our local speedways.
I wanted to pass along some
very "Positive Feedback"
that we received from
Doug Elkins, who visited Sharon Speedway
for the Ollie's 360 Challenge several weeks ago.

What a wild forty eight hours I have had. Tuesday we traveled out to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio for the Ollie's 360 Challenge. It was my first ever trip to this track and I must tell you that I was totally blown away! Everything from the grandstand, the VIP rooms and the over-all appearance of this track made you realize that they were pretty serious about making a premier facility. This was the first of these "new generation" dirt tracks that I have ever been to and I was in awe the whole time I was out there.

I highly encourage all of you to check out this track if you have never been there before. The t-shirt/novelties booth under the grandstand is just like you would see at a major sports venue, the employees all wear identical shirts (It is a little thing I know, but it always impressed me. How does the saying go, think classy and you'll be classy...right?) and everywhere I went I kept saying the same thing to myself, "Oh, this is nice!" I was impressed like never before at a dirt track and can safely say that I have never seen anyplace like it before. Make your plans now and see it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Thank You to Doug for the Positive Feedback!!
Be sure to check out Doug's website, www.dougsdirtdiary.com.

Brad Rapp, Dale Blaney, Rick Eckert and Josh Richards
are just some of the great interviews that can be heard on the site!!!
